This game gives students practice at using digraphs. Makes 4 large lotto boards.
For best results, print on tagboard and laminate
for durability.
Instructions for play:
Hand out one BINGO CARD to each player. Place the Digraphs face down on the
table. Players take turns to turn over a Digraph and say aloud the sound it
makes. All players then find that digraph on their own Bingo Card and cover it with a marker. The first person to cover the middle and four
corners OR any five squares in a row--horizontally, vertically, or diagonally--is
the winner
To Play:
Digraph pairs--Print out two matching sets in different
colors. Place digraph tiles face down and take turns to turn over two tiles
(one of each color). If the digraph matches the player keeps them. The player
with the most
sets of matching digraphs wins the game.
Encourage your students to think of a word that begins with each Digraph.
