Practice hundreds, tens, and ones with sets of friendly boy and girl cubes.
Number of players: 2 to 4 or more
Skills practiced:
- place value to hundreds' place
- visual recognition of 1, 10, 100 (cube, row, block)
- reading 3-digit numbers
Description of play:
Players take turns drawing cards from the deck, trying to make sets containing
one each of a hundreds card, a tens card, and a ones card. Special "zero"
cards (one per deck) can be used for either tens or ones. After each 3-digit
number is made it is recorded and the cards are placed back in the deck. The
winner is the first to create five three-digit numbers, filling their recording
sheet.
