In January 2008, President George W. Bush announced the Economic Stimulus Plan, where US taxpayers would receive checks of several hundred dollars from the government in order to boost the economy.
Upon hearing this news, Eleven2 says it wanted to "give something back as well" and immediately began to brainstorm ideas, until it came up with the lifetime hosting for $600 plan.
The deal is significantly cost-effective, says the company. Based on the pricing of its "launchParty" plan, $600 would last roughly eight and a half years.
"We really wanted to do something out of the box here at Eleven2," says Rodney Giles, co-founder and CEO of Eleven2. "A lifetime hosting plan is pretty out of the box and just the right match for President Bush's plan. For $600, anyone is able to take advantage of our lifetime hosting plan."
Founded in 2004, Eleven2 Hosting now hosts over 60,000 websites and provides shared hosting, reseller hosting, and customized dedicated server plans. The company's data centers are located in Houston, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia.
The company also offers VIP, an automated support system developed in-house, as well as domain sales and database/FTP/email hosting for small to medium sized businesses.
