Description:
COPING WITH TOXIC PARENTS is a survival guide for teachers. Simple, effective strategies for becoming
more assertive in the presence of those who seek to verbally abuse and bully
you.
LET'S FACE IT, SOME PARENTS ARE HARMFUL TO OUR HEALTH!
You don't exist on this earth to be someone's personal garbage
dump. -- M. Moore
Hi fellow educators, and thanks for your interest in becoming more assertive.
My eBook COPING WITH TOXIC PARENTS was written in response to the expressed
needs of teachers just like YOU.
Every time I give a presentation to teachers I get asked the
same question: "How can I become more assertive with those parents, other
teachers and principals who are making my life miserable?"

| To help meet this need I wrote and recorded COPING WITH
TOXIC PARENTS and from the orders and inquiries I am receiving
from teachers throughout the world the need is universal.
Teacher bashing has become a sport
and it has to stop.
Teachers don’t exist to be verbal dart boards and
they must learn to assert themselves wherever and whenever someone tries
to verbally abuse them. COPING WITH TOXIC PARENTS will provide
you with practical, effective strategies to use IN YOUR OWN SELF DEFENSE. |
I know these strategies work because they worked for me. Early in my teaching
career I was a teacher who always wanted to please and co-operate with parents,
principals and fellow teachers. As a result I was used and verbally abused by
people inside and outside education. I wanted it to stop so I
researched the topic of assertiveness thoroughly and applied what I learned to
my own life. The results of my research are in my eBook. NO LONGER
do I have trouble saying no or expressing an opposing opinion or CHALLENGING
OTHERS WHEN
THEY TRY TO PUT ME DOWN OR TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ME!
Remember co-operation is great. Manipulation isn’t.
The nice thing about it is that YOU can assert yourself
without losing friends on staff or the respect of the parents you serve.
IT'S ALL IN HOW YOU DO IT.
My strategies work so well that now I am invited to give
talks and seminars
on the subject to teachers all over North America.
